De La Vibe: Fill Me In

The piece explores the ritual-like ambiance of a house club: how the individual creates their own world with the help of movements and rhythms and at the same times opens to exchange and play with the other dancers. The individual, group and music are all equally important in creating that ambiance. Dancers interact with each other both by dance together but also just by sharing a space and being part of the dancefloor.

The inspiration and starting point for the piece is the social traditions of house dance such as chasing/stalking, cypher, freestyle and lofting and how these concepts changes when put on stage.
