Nights don’t have names
choreographer and DANCER
"”Night time, the silent oasis.
The bass and the dance; the sirens that lure in.
An irresistible inner revolt "
Nights don't have names is a tribute to the unconditioned essence of the night. It is an embodied revolt to break free and a desire to let the body take the wheel, to feel and to dance. An ongoing, multifaceted spectrum of experiences, associations and reflections arises.
Nights don't have names is a solo performance played in a stripped-down room. The room turns into an intersection between a stage and a dance floor that the audience shares with the lone dancer and the music.
The piece explores how through breaking down the task-driven, efficient day body, a body-affirming, indulgent night body appears and the opportunity for infinite world-creation opens up.
